Our board of Directors are made up of educators all over the world that specialize in different aspects of education. Different perspectives are able to be collected and applied to the services we provide. Our team brings the best and most current educational and psychological practices from around the globe.

Founder & President

Tiffany Dillard is the Founder & President of The Chalkboard Project Africa. Tiffany had a vision of providing support to African schools and youth through an NGO many years ago. Having never been to the continent, she felt drawn to Ghana and decided to embark upon a trip there to discover the areas that had the greatest need. That is when The Chalkboard Project Africa was birthed and began to take form. Tiffany holds a BA degree in Child Development & Family Relations from Kentucky State University. She holds many ESL certifications and is a practicing Life Coach. She is also a musician and creates YouTube content. Tiffany has traveled, lived and taught in China and Japan. She now lives in Greater Accra, Ghana, and runs the NGO.

Vice President

Jessica Rone, M.Ed is an educational administrator with more than 2 decades of experience in education. She is a U.S. citizen, originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her educational studies and life experiences include earning a bachelors degree in psychology at Kentucky State University in Frankfort, Kentucky, and a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Cincinnati, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ms. Rone has taught in elementary through high school classes, as well as served as a high school principal. Jessica brings to the team a wealth of knowledge in management and construction of policies and order. She is very skilled and passionate about the development of the youth and youth programming.

General Board Member

Dr. Lisa Adams-Qualls is a full-time Assistant Professor at Concordia University. She graduated from Capella University with a Doctoral Degree in Social Work. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Kentucky and received her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Tennessee State University. She also earned a Masters in Educational Leadership from National Louis University. Before teaching higher education, Dr. Adams-Qualls worked over 20 years in the primary and secondary education arena. She started as a school social worker, then transitioned into an administrative role as Program Manager for School-Based Mental Health Clinics for Racine School District as while as Assistant Principal. Dr. Adams-Qualls is also an International Mental Health First Aid Instructor, Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Lisa’s contributions to the team are second to none! She has volunteered her time in Ghana and is knowledgeable about the needs in the area. We are happy to have her on our team.

General Board Member

Shawnna is a trained teacher with over eighteen years of experience from Jamaica. Shawnna has worked with the Sendai Board of Education assisting Japanese teachers of English and has also contributed her expertise in private Japanese schools. She is a passionate educator who advocates for mental health and wellbeing for teachers by promoting psychological safety in the workplace. Shawnna earned her Master of Science in Applied Psychology specializing in Mental Health from the University of Liverpool, a Bachelor of Education from Mount Saint Vincent University, certificates in Teaching English as a Second Language, and Business English, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and her teaching diploma from the College of Agriculture, Science, and Education. Shawnna is skilled and familiar with the process of running an NGO. She is passionate about assisting teachers with having powerful tools both mentally and physically.

General Board Member

Stephanie provides administrative support to The Chalkboard Project Africa. Stephanie resides in Decatur, GA and holds a BA in Child Development & Family Relations. She holds a Master degree in Business Education. She currently teaches Special Education in her local Elementary School. in a Special Needs Pre-K classroom. Stephanie has traveled, lived and taught in China. We value the international view she brings to the team. She is passionate about the youth and the inclusion of the family in the educational process.

General Board Member

Andrew provides Graphic Design & Culture support to The Chalkboard Project Africa. Andrew is a native Ghanaian and has worked in graphic design for the last 7 years. He received a HND in Graphic Design from Takoradi Technical University. He is also a YouTube content creator who focuses on bringing Africa to the world and supporting individuals in the Diaspora who are interested in relocating to the continent. Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge and resources about Ghana and Africa in general to the team of General Board Members. He is passionate about equipping our youth to become leaders for the future of Africa. He has a deep love and understanding about the purpose of this project. We are grateful to have him as a General Board Member.

Uche Erondu is a Nigerian-American creative with a diverse background. With an M.A. in International Relations, has always had a keen interest for human rights, education and development especially as it relates to the continent of Africa. She’s an avid traveler and has been to over 26 countries to date. Having worked in both the NGO and Corporate sector for the last 10 years, she found her true passion in social entrepreneurship. Among her several businesses,she is a self-taught graphic designer and through her company, Eclectic Statement, she has helped many small businesses with their creative vision. Uche’s overall goal is to be a tool toward the continuous evolution of Africa and she hopes her contribution will help unite and bring the African continent to the forefront like it deserves to be. As her businesses grow she vows to use the majority of the proceeds go towards helping other African creatives across the diaspora with opportunities and a platform to showcase their art or creative aesthetics. We are so grateful to have Uche’s drive and creative input on our team.
